Catalyst:Ed is a national nonprofit that helps education and youth-serving organizations build capacity and deepen their impact by connecting them to the expertise, resources, and hands-on support they need to drive transformational outcomes for students, families, and communities.
Founded and led by a woman of color, Catalyst:Ed is committed to being a space where difference is valued and all team members can bring their authentic selves to work. Currently, 75% of our team identifies as women, and 62% identify as a person of color. We are deeply committed to our "why" and our guiding beliefs. We have a specific guiding belief that states, "Equity is our compass". We believe that a focus on racial and economic equity and justice must be integrated into our capacity-building work. We also work to design and implement talent management and operational systems and processes that center the humanity of our people and empower them to work at their highest potential. Not only do we work to ensure our guiding beliefs show up in our recruiting, hiring, and onboarding processes, but we also have practices (i.e. healthy team framework) to ensure we practice an inclusive workplace culture. We understand that people of color, women, and LGBTQ+ folks are underrepresented in tech, and we want to ensure that our applicant pool represents a wide range of demographic backgrounds relating to, but not limited to gender and sexual orientation, race, class, first-generation college status, etc.
